Pride, Leadership and Honor
When you're dealing with a dynamic situation look for the highly trained men and women found within MABAS 19 to get the situation under control.
Our standards are high. So high in fact, we're in a league of our own, moving our entire mutual aid system forward. M.A.B.A.S. Division 19 has become synonymous with the highest standard in box alarm systems. No other M.A.B.A.S. division can compare.
M.A.B.A.S. (Mutual Aid Box Alarm System) Division 19 was "born" on October 20, 1994. Currently, there are twelve fire agencies in M.A.B.A.S. 19: Frankfort, Homer Township, Lemont, Lockport Township, Manhattan, Mokena, New Lenox, Orland Park, East Joliet, Palos, Palos Heights, and Peotone Fire District’s.
These twelve fire agencies have requested box alarms (mutual aid assistance) for structure fires, brush fires, rescue and emergency medical incidents, hazardous materials incidents, confined space, and disaster incidents.
M.A.B.A.S. Division 19 is a progressive organization, built on a foundation of solid working relationships, open communications, and a commitment to share resources to the benefit of the member agencies and public at large.
There are leaders, and then there's everyone else. At M.A.B.A.S. Division 19, we take immense pride in driving the mutual aid system forward, focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety.
It's old fashioned now, but we do what we say we're going to do. Plain and simple. Our word is bond, we are on call 24/7.
No one ever complained that we had too much integrity.
